Adguard (VPN) prevents my phone from connecting to the car for Android Auto

Any fix for this other than turning adguard on and off every time?

Android Auto 11.4.640814-release

Doesn’t work Android Auto with cable.

Instead it works via wifi, via a cheap Chinese wifi dongle. I don’t know what absurd reason for this

Same issue and every option is disabled for Android auto, I have it whitelisted and everything. Frustrating af

Whitelisting the android auto app through app management seems to work for me.

Thanks! Whitelisting the android auto app in adguard just worked for me on a Pixel 3a XL (android 12), adguard 3.6.10 and a Toyota RAV4 2023!

This stopped working for now, possibly due to a VPN update. Keeps knocking out. Will see if it fixes itself eventually.

I have to disable adguard if I want to use android auto. It’s “whitelisted” (swiped left on android auto). No love.

I have the same issue right now. AA starts complaining and data is interuppted

Go to adguard, apps management clock on Android auto, turn off Adguard Protection. Right? If so, will try that now

This happened to me using Nord, have been split tunneling for a year with no issues and all of a sudden Android Auto can’t seem to work with a VPN installed. Kinda suss.

Yes I just drove with Android Auto using this setting. Hope it works for you. IMO Android Auto should be off by default.
