After years of loyalty to GW finally broke away
Well, they started it.
Amazing prints! Nothing to do with loyalty though. As long as you dont pay non-GW folks of 1:1 scans of their existing models I dont see any moral fault for printing free files or buying those that are handcrafted by talented independent designers.
And in my case, I still buy the occasional box or paint because of my printer letting me delve deeper and deeper into the hobby at large.
My loyalty to GW is heading that same way. May I ask what printer you have? These models look really great.
HERESY!!!..… welcome to the club
That’s the wrong hound of war for old world.
If GW I’s going to act like a soulless corporation, we are going to treat them like one.
They need to adapt to the market, or fail.
It’s not a binary thing.
You can buy some and print some.
Where did you find the attack puppy STL?
I felt the same way for a long time and only used my printer for RPG mins and conversion bitz. But since they decided to axe my army (sacrosact) I feel quite justified in printing be’lakor and 12 vanguard because they are way overpriced for already overpriced miniatures
My joy left my body when I saw a single tech priest for over $60 in my local GW store.
They have a fiduciary responsibility to exploit you as a publicly owned company.
Fuck em.
Loyalty is for golden retrievers and marriage, not economics.
They don’t deserve loyalty, current leadership is hostile and exploitative of the people that made them successful.
Welcome to the chaos legions.
Loyalty to profit seeking corporations is not something one should have.
You are specs of dust to them, don’t give them anything like that they do not deserve it
I print models. I sculpt proxies. I buy from GW. I do all of them. I appreciate GW for making the games I enjoy, and loyalty is not top of mind.
Remember that the original White Dwarf magazines had cut-outs and guides for how to make their terrain and tanks. It’s just another medium for expanding the game, and that makes it better for everyone. Enjoy!
What kind of prep work did you have to do with the titan? The files I have have a lot of weird internal geometry that I’m worried will cause prints to fail
Yeah the safety part is what I’m personally trying to figure out.
Ordered the gkthree can’t wait to get printing
I honestly love my GW models too, but also like so many 3d printed things that i’ll never see official product for.
