I started using the VPN service Surfshark, - which is alright by the way, but the latency is over 120 ms so the games are very unresponsive.
Has anyone reduced ping low enough to be able to play using VPN?
I am accessing from Chile.

Here is my situation. I live in Romania, an unsupported county. I use Proton VPN, (you can use any vpn you like), but only for login on Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) auf Xbox.com, or GemePass app on Android. The basic idea is to disconnect vpn after you login on web page, or in GamePass appp the PLAY button is available. DONT play games with vpn ON, because ANY VPN will put more lag there your direct connection. So basically use vpn only to get acces to service. Then start playing games on your country IP. In my case it work. Keep in mind if it work for you, but have latency, then no VPN service will resolve this problem, on contrary, it will make worse. Chose any free vpn that have servers as close as possible to any supported county that is closest to your country. In this way, the connection will be made with less latency.
For web streaming (if you have access), you can use Urban VPN extension installed directly on Chrome browser.
I have a ping of 5 to the nearest server. Games. Like Fortnite R6 have a ping about 9. But xcloud has still lag. I can only imagine how bad it is with vpn
which country do you connect to through VPN?
It does help a lot. Many thanks!
The services does have lag still, and the resolution underperforms, but the potential is amazing. I am looking forward for the update to series X
Amazing! I’ll try it when I get home from work amd tell how it goes
