You probably don’t have the latest build version where almost all of the bugs and issues are fixed. The last build was 12 hours ago (July 7, 2023)
Go to https://github.com/popcorn-official/popcorn-desktop/actions/runs/5481452659 and download the version for your OS. Let me know if you need further help (This is the page for the LATEST release until now (July 7, 2023)
Steps to always get the latest release:Workflow runs · popcorn-official/popcorn-desktop · GitHub > Click on “Latest Build” on the menu to the left > Click on “Update build_old_nwjs.yml” > Scroll to the bottom of the page and find the releases on the Artifacts section.
Thanks mate, worked perfectly!
For others go into settings and under API servers press the little refresh button beside automatically update API. Then restart
I forgot. Check the box that says:
- Automatically update the API Servers URLs a bit above the bottom of settings.
You can find it under API SERVER(S)

Then check the boxes I wrote about earlier.
If it still doesn’t work it’s something wrong with either your pc or internet provider.
Thanks for the detailed response! Going to try it.
Where you able to get it to work?
Somehow the issue fixed itself… would not be surprised if it was a network issue on my side.
Could possibly be. I had issues with my internet provider for over a week. Wasn’t fun. The internet died almost every day for 8-12 hours at the time.
Glad it worked out for you in the end.
