I’d really love if ProtonVPN could have an option to connect to VPN automatically when the device connects to specific Wifi networks, say I select my work and gym wifi networks to auto connect to the VPN server when the device connects to these wifi networks as well as turn off automatically when I connect to, say, my home’s wifi.
Agreed. “Auto connecting to untrusted network” is the one feature from Surfshark I miss.

You could probably do it using a script if you are using it on the computer not a phone. I’d say writing it in python as it has more reliability and libraries up the whazoo

If ur using iOS u could use automation to get the current wifi connection > then get connection status from proton vpn > then use quick connect to connect if it is the wifi u want it to connect on.
It is possible to do this I have done it before but since I am always connected to vpn I don’t use it anymore. Plus on iOS whenever u have to run the automation u have to specifically click on the notification that comes and tap run.
I’ve just bought a Proton Unlimited subscription, was disappointed to learn that this isn’t a feature.
I’ll be sticking with my Private Internet Access VPN till this is a feature, as PIA will connect as soon as I leave my home WiFi range.
