Try different TTL and HL settings. 65 may not work depending on your network topology. Do you have another router behind your device? Some other settings for VZW include 64 and 117.
Verizon/Total Wireless is likely detecting hotspot usage and enforcing the 15GB data cap. The network’s traffic monitoring and hotspot tracking are quite sophisticated, and it’s hard to fully bypass these limits just by tweaking settings like TTL or APN.
Try:
Change TTL/HL: Set TTL/HL to 64 or 66 to potentially trick the network into treating traffic as normal phone data, bypassing hotspot limits.
Use VPN or Proxy: A VPN on the connected device or router may disguise traffic and help bypass hotspot detection.
Check for Firmware Mods: Flashing custom firmware can modify hotspot behavior but may void warranties and pose risks.
I had followed this post when I got the $30 Total deal… the 64 TTL and HL 117 had worked perfectly, but today all of the sudden it stopped working. Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions? The router still works with other sims / carriers but just not Total.
Have you noticed with this set up that the hotspot is slowly being used? I did this and my yes the data speeds are over 900mpbs but from yesterday to today the hotspot usage went up went up about 0.28MB … I’m wondering if the 117 is viable long term
I used an S22 Physical SIM IMEI. Now I did activate the sim card into the phone first… but I dont think it matters as long as the IMEI and SIM is registered on their end. So I would say it should work for you no issues.
The 64 and 117 were suggested to me in this thread by mackattack5757.
I also enabled IPv6… Dont know if that would have mattered.
