Best VPN based on the robustness of their software/app

I’ve been with Nord for a few years now. I’m fine with the quality of their VPN itself, but their apps drive me insane - both Windows and iOS. Key issues being regularly logging me out, kicking me to a web browser to log in again, slow and intrusive updates, self-deleting VPN settings on iPhone. Ultimately a VPN is useless when it decides to disable itself. This caused me real problems once with an employer whose policies didn’t allow their systems to be accessed outside of their home country, and Nord let data through when it decided to log me out. This resulted in my account being locked by my employer until I returned to the office. So much for an always-on VPN setting.

I used to use IPVanish and never had those problems (other problems, but not those ones).

Of the major VPN providers, which have the best / most reliable / most stable apps? Windows and iOS, including Apple TV.

I used to use Surfshark but it’s pretty expensive if you are paying by the month. Now I am using Mullvad and it’s working great on my iPhone and my laptop. It’s cheaper too.

I use cyber ghost : I never been log out during a session but I’m regurlarly log out between 2 use of the app.
Android app is more stable than the windows one.
But never been log out during my browsing.

I tried for a couple of days VPN Express and it looked very efficient, well-designed.

It’s the logging out between uses of the app that are a problem. And just damn annoying.
