My PC was being a bit slow, so I did a bit of research on cleaner apps and installed CCleaner. But when I did, AVG Antivirus just popped up.
Tried researching if either one is safe or not, didn’t get a clear answer.
So, should I keep them or not?

CCleaner is on our blacklist here.
Our stance on third-party AVs is they are shitware. You can read more about that here.
I would not use any third-party AVs or system cleaners/optimizers. They don’t fix real problems, and I have seen them do real, unfixable damage to OSes more times than I can count.
If your PC is slow, I would recommend you make a post describing that problem and see if someone can provide a more direct solution.
AVG was a free add-on you failed to decline. Ccleaner is a useful utility IF you know what you are doing. I like it myself used it for years now.
fun fact: way back when the devs called it “crap cleaner” That was changed within a year after release because…money.
With all these free system utilities and AV, you should know that their financial model is to collect your data and sell it to third parties, being browsing history or applications installed and usage.
I would get rid of AVG and let CCleaner do it’s job, I still think it’s one of the most useful tools as someone who works in IT… It’s not an antivirus by any means, but it does what it advertises: cleans up crap.
