Can't access hulu anymore

Up untill very recently (few minutes ago) I was able to watch hulu on my xbox. Been doing it for a year no problems but now hulu is asking me to disable my VPN to be able to watch it knows I’m using VPN so anyone has the same problem and got a fix since express vpn won’t be able to help me for sometime due to the virus outbreak.

I write support and it’s a problem with the media streamer:

“Upon checking on our end, you’re not the only one getting this issue. Our engineers are already aware of the problem and are already working on a fix. As per our engineer’s instruction, we should wait for the fix. But they did not provide any estimated time on when it will be fixed.”

***Solution***

Heard back from ExpressVPN service. I ran through these troubleshooting and it fixed the problem (for now).

  1. On your device or computer, connected to the same router where the Apple TV is linked, disconnect the VPN app. You have to make sure that you are not connected to any VPN location when doing the following steps. This way, the system can capture your actual IP address.
  2. Next, sign in to your ExpressVPN account, you may use this link: https://www.express-vpn-links.com/login
  3. Once you’re signed in, click the “DNS Settings” tab and toggle the button that says automatically register IP address
    **You should see “Registered and Enabled” after. If you see some error, like Authentication Timed out, just refresh the page and try to enable it again.
    **If it’s already enabled, kindly click the button to disable > refresh the page > click the button again to enable. You should also see the IP address registered. If not, click the register button.
    Once it’s confirmed
  4. Go to your Apple TV
  5. Make sure that the DNS on your Apple TV is set to manual and not automatic then check if our DNS is correctly entered.
  6. Restart your Apple TV
  7. Try to play videos again

Same here. Both on AppleTV and my Samsung TV, anything that uses mediastreamer. Has anyone found a solution to this? I’ve reached out to ExpressVPN but there 24/7 assistance doesn’t cover the COVID-19.

I’ve attempted to create a new DNS server, but I’m not seeing a way to change the IP. Which seems to be the issue.

Same here, connecting from spain and is not working on my LG smart tv.

Tried using the vpn app on the phone and then connect to Netflix on the phone and it does work…

I’ve had BBC Iplayer stop streaming since this morning EST (just black screen when clicking play…using Iplayer via browser on FireTV, confirmed on other PC and Ipad). There are only the 4 UK servers and I suspect that none of them are functional any longer, though I would love some confirmation of this though I can’t see how this is something on my end.
