I took a 1-month sub with ProtonVPN to try it out.I like it, but I really don’t understand why you don’t have a Chrome Extension!!!
Is there a workaround to setup ProtonVPN within Chrome (Windows10)?
If not, I will not renew. I can see here that your customers have been asking a Chrome Extension for years, so I don’t get why you haven’t created one yet…
I really need an extension because I use ProtonVPN Windows app with Split Tunnelling in “inclusive mode”, and use it only for 1 app in a certain country. But I need another country setup within Chrome.
Probably didn’t create one as you can do it in the app: https://ibb.co/XsmKVzT
Note that we currently don’t officially have any Chrome extensions. However, your request for a Chrome extension will be forwarded to our team to be considered.
This is absurd… people have been asking for some sort of chrome/browser extension for at least the last 4 years and still nothing. Way to listen to your customers. I am a paid Proton Subscriber, but am really debating if I want to renew.
Thanks for the post and info everyone.
As I mentioned, unfortunately, I need a different country in chrome.
you’ve been considering it from 3 years!! Forget it, I’ll switch to another VPN
I would agree that Chrome extension will definitely be a good thing to have! Here in Russia, Twitter has recently been slowed down, it makes sense to use VPN for browser activities now, but some things like banks simply won’t work if you’re trying to connect from another country. On top of that, you don’t need VPN for games as it would hurt your ping. So it makes sense if only the browser was covered by the VPN extension, which could be toggled off for certain sites. Also, the software requires administrative permissions to install and use, whilst the Chrome extensions can be installed by any user unless the browser installation is managed by an organisation.
10000000% need a browser extension for vpn
Sorry I missed that part.
no worries. Had I not needed another country in Chrome, that would have been the solution indeed.
