The evidence is that this site has worked well with my setup for some time now. Additionally, as I pointed out in an earlier reply, there is a flash of content, then it locks up.
One other possibility is that Google made some subtle changes, and this is the result.
One final note: the new administration is hell bent on bringing everyone to heel, and I suspect Google as well as many other organizations are feeling the pressure. Some of the strongest voices in support of the administration are fundamentalist Christians, and this may be traced back to them.
