Cubes OS: VPN for Whonix

So i recently tried to create a, User, to VPN, to whonix set up in order to create a more secure tor browser (RE: In my opinion) within Cubes OS.

I routed the annon-whonix to sys-whonix then sys-whonix to sys-vpn (sys-vpn has a vpn running in it I created this APPvm) then sys-vpn to sys-firewall then sys-firewall to sys-net. Sys-vpn cube does create a vpn when i route a personal cube through it. My question is when i rout the anon-whonix through it does this create a VPN then Tor connection.

Back Story: I am currently learning cyber security and networking to become a penetration tester hopefully in the feauture. i thought this would be a great challenge to figure out a way to run VPN then whonix in Cubes OS this seamed like the most simplist way, but maybe there is an easier one. if you have expirience with Cubes OS let me know what you think!

It’s spelled Qubes btw…

I thought it was more of a risk to run whonix with a VPN. Don’t most say to do the opposite?

This creates a Tor > VPN connection where Tor connects to the network within the VPN.

With VPN, the risk factor will be high or low depend on your vpn service provider. Without VPN, the government and the others will track you down and semi-anonymous within TOR. People say that thing was a whole bunch of morons that they didn’t know about. Take Wireguard and OpenVPN as examples. These two vpn providers are open source and have a lot of compatibilities to other devices. If you are using NordVPN and PIA, you have a lot more trouble due to their logs work to track you down.

They logged the IP address of the user for sometime where they didn’t kept their services open source
