DDG doesn't work half the time with VPN

For whatever reason, recently DDG(the search webpage, not the browser) doesn’t load at all about half the time when using VPN. It doesn’t happen all the time and it will randomly work for part of the day and then fail to load in other parts. Does anyone else have these issues? Or are there any privacy-focused alternatives that actually work?

The problems have only started in the past few weeks after working fine for a year+ with that same VPN.

Check whether your vpn are also adblocking, or if you’re using separate dns service, if they block ads/trackers etc too. Works fine here with vpn and with dns adblocker.

Ddg just introduced their ai and its on by default so it might be caught in some adblocking list, making their ui bugged out.
