Hard to help with this info, but change the metric of your virtual nic to a value lower than the metric of your regular nic. Google for details

change the metric of your virtual nic to a value lower than the metric of your regular nic

is there any specific info that i can provide that can give a better idea on what to do?

It’s about which network card gets priority in traffic: lower metric wins. Your virtual network card should have a lower value (so higher priority) than the real network card. You want DNS requests to go over the VPN. This is done by right-clicking your network card and editing IPv4

i already tried to change the dns in the ipv4 setting by trying 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and the other onesit still didnt work but i didnt try the ip address one
