We are working on a project that will allow users to block ads in their browser. That’s on the roadmap for this year!

I purchased the 3 yr plan, and vypr speeds have been really nice, I also have Torguard and Windscribe, Torguard speed is practically stopped ~ Horrible, Windscribe has some nice features but slower.

However Vypr does not allow me to use a 3rd part DNS, or have their own ad blocking, I know Hulu and Vypr kinda have an agreement, and one of the reasons I bought Vypr was for Hulu, but VPNs today have way more features and Vypr is being left in yesteryear!

I really would like a Server node in Boston and a DNS that can block some intrusive content or the ability to use my own!

Hello again! I’m back after 1 year :smiley: any good news on this?

Can you please fix the issue where Add blocking DNS are not working. I have tried handguard 94.140.14.14 and Control-D 76.76.2.2 but vypr is not processing them properly and adds are still being shown.

It sounds like Adguard and Control-D’s DNS may be conflicting with VyprDNS.

Whenever using a 3rd-party DNS while connected to VyprVPN, we recommend setting the alternate DNS addresses within the DNS settings in the VyprVPN app.

If that’s not possible, or if you’ve tried that and it didn’t help, then you may have better luck specifying any alternate DNS addresses (such as your ISP’s) in the VyprVPN app, and then enable the ad-blocking services on the device.

That will prevent the connection from using VyprDNS, which may work better with Adguard and other DNS-related services.

I am trying it from the Vypr VPN android app. I click on 3rd party dns and tried adguard, nextdns and control D but none of them worked and are not blocking adds… Then I did a dns leak test and neither of them is reflecting it shows M247 Ltd instead

D/L DNScloak its really powerful and will work flawlessly with any vpn using a VPN Profile, as it will run in a VPN configuration.

If you run VYPR in Wireguard it will run in VPN config and you will not be able to run Adguard or DNS cloak
