I’ve read through other posts. None seem to address this exact problem. I click on a link to a PDF file. The file is saved to Downloads, as desired. The Downloads notification pop-up shows the file in the upper-right corner of the DDG App Window. I click on the “open file” link. But instead of opening the file in Acrobat Reader (default already set in both OS system and Acrobat preferences), the file is opened in another DDG App tab. I want it to open in Reader, not DDG! I can’t find any settings in DDG to change this. I’m using DDG on a Windows machine & I know the app is still new for desktops. Can this be fixed yet?
There’s currently no setting in the beta version of the DDG Windows browser to display .PDFs in the system default viewer. The current work-around is to click on the `Open Downloads Folder` icon in the download modal, which opens a Windows Explorer in the downloads folder, where you can select the file to be opened in the default viewer.
Ah, that would explain it. Thank you.
