Hey (finally) seem to be getting new assignments for Flamingo WFE. Got a task to set up VPN.
I have my SSO and downloaded global protect.
When I click on the “Go to external platform” it asks for my SSO email, but when I enter itt just takes me back to “emter your SSO”. I don’t even get to enter a password.
I assume I need to connect to the VPN first.
I need to enter a portal address. If that was shown somewhere, I don’t recall coming across it.
How do I connect to the Global Protect portal.
I’m currently not in any Slack Channels despite technically being on Bulbs and now Flamingo WFE.
I’m working Seals and then got the Flamingo WFE VPN setup task.
I don’t know what to do with this. The Seals manager has no idea so I guess it’s going to sit there.
I’m experiencing the same thing.
I wonder if maybe there’s a background process we have to wait for. I thought it was strange that the VPN task appeared on my dash after weeks of EQ but no email or project channel add. I’m only in the General channel after Flamingo Safety ended.
You can contact support about being added to the correct channels, if you’re assigned to a project, but a lot of us suddenly had that VPN setup course appear on our dashboards even though we’d been using the VPN for weeks. I know the client stated they were still waiting to assign any more SRT creds for a while, though. Make sure you’ve completed training for a Flamingo project. Otherwise, you won’t have access to the VPN remote portal info, instructions, etc.
I’m in the same boat as you, I have no idea what the portal address is. I’ve sent a message to the Help Desk but I’m guessing by the time I receive an answer I’d have been put on another project.
Did you generate the credentials to create your own Flamingo Google profile? And were you assigned SRT creds, if you need them? It’s also helpful to log out of other chrome profiles, and log in to the one you’ve created for Flamingo. Then you connect to Global Protect.
Same issue here, we need a IP address or domain for the Portal
Hello, I am currently in the same thing as you were, I got my srt credentials today. The only thing in my dashboard on outlier is the wfe vpn setup and near it I have the start tasking button l, when I click on it it bring me to a flamingo dashboard, I have the vpn working and I can go to the external platform which is srt. I ve done some tasks on the srt platform but same for me I don’t think they are linked to my outlier just yet. Should I work like that or just wait for another project to show up?
while using proxy, can i connect globalprotect and access the project?
I just finished my assessment training and suddenly WFE-VPN setup appeared, I’ve got my google flamingo account and the VPN… just missing my SRT credentials, should I wait? I already sent an email a few days ago but no response yet.
can anyone please help me what to do int this WFE-VP setup because of this i am not able to do new mission please help
Yep same issue I started working on seals today and it popped up. I don’t know what the portal address is.
Hey! Where you able to solve this? I’m stuck on the same situation and don’t know what to do
I have not been using any VPN so far. I’ve been both an attempter and reviewer on Flamingo SRT in June until they ran out of tasks on all fields.
This just popped up on my dash, no email no other info.
No sure how Google profiles play into this. I’ve worked on flamingo as an attempter and reviewer in June until they ran out of tasks. Never used a VPN. Uncertain about the whole chrome and Google profile situation.
I created my outlier I’d / account with an email that’s not a Gmail (this by default not the Google profile in chrome).
I know that internally outlier essentially has @gmails linked somehow. But I have no idea how that relates to the VPN or anything else.
Do you perform tasks with the VPN on? I’m asking because I’ve installed and configured the VPN, but I haven’t received any credentials, guidance, or instructions on the next steps or how to use the VPN to complete tasks.
I’ve been on Flamingo Pref Rank but had to wait for my SRT credentials for 2 weeks. For that project, the client is requiring all taskers use the VPN. There’s a bunch of tutorials for it, but I wouldn’t worry about it yet - at least until you’re added to the Slack again.
In order for the VPN to work, you have to be logged into Chrome with a Flamingo profile, using credentials you generate yourself. It’s a whole thing and has driven everyone insane.
Do you have a notification about the VPN set up in Outlier (top right)? My account had a link to the slides about the whole process in that. I still had a lot of tech issues with it though lol
