Has anyone had issues with Verizon FIOS newer router the CR1900A blocking Global VPN Client?

Client of mine got FIOS in their new home and since then they can no longer connect to the Sonicwall in the office using the Global VPN Client. Has anyone else experienced this and was there a solution?

This is the router in question.

Thanks in advance.

I cannot comment on the model of router itself, but have definitely seen certain ISPs (possibly routers as well) block GVC traffic. UDP 500/4500 is known by ISPs for VPN and some do block that on a residential line. The joys of no net neutrality and bad ISPs.

To test you can run a packet capture on the SonicWall for the VPN ports coming from the user’s public IP. Confirm you’re not seeing traffic. Then take the same computer, connect via an alternate connection like a hotspot. Take note of the IP, set up a new pcap, and try again. If it works on the alternate internet connection then that confirms something on the ISP side is blocking. With that information you can call the ISP and see if they’re competent enough to do anything about it.

I’ve seen others do that with IPSEC vpns but o have that same model and it works fine for me with GVC
