Has anyone used a VPN with Paramount plus to watch games?

Sunday ticket is just too much, and I’ve done online streams but I would constantly need to try and refresh to get it working while casting to my TV. I’ve seen some people say a VPN with paramount to watch live CBS games should work. Has anyone tried this?

Yes, I have and it worked wonderfully

Paramount plus didn’t work for me last year using this method but the CBS app did.

With a Roku you don’t even need a VPN, you can just go in the app settings and give it a Miami zipcode.

What would the VPN do? If you’re out of market you’d need the VPN server to be located somewhere in the phins market, no?

Most streaming services know the IPs for the popular VPN services and it doesn’t work really anymore…

I live out of market and have used a VPN for the past several years. It works fine on paramount plus, but on streaming services the feed lags behind the live broadcast by a couple minutes. You can usually just get the local CBS feed for free.

There are browser plugins that allow you to set your location. I used that for a few years and most of the time it worked. Just set your address to somewhere in Miami. I did find that it was more reliable if I created the account and then only ever used it with location set to Miami. I was also using a vpn that had a south Florida pop.

If it doesnt work, there is a website called drogon.tv you just run it straight from a smart tv internet browser and pick a stream. Usually you have the option to pick between a dolphins stream with their announcers or if the game is nationally televised youd also see an option for espn/abc/nfl network stream (whoever is doing the nationally televised broadcast). Costs $10 a month, or $90 a year

edit

Only other downside ive noticed is that theres a 2 device minimum.

You can also watch games with ads in the beginning at reddit1.nflbite.com (you will have to close a few ads before youre able to stream your game

I am using ExpressVPN to watch Paramount Plus CBS Games and it is working great.

It’s been a couple years since I’ve done this so I’m not sure whether it’s still possible, but you used to be able to use a VPN to get international game pass. Much cheaper than anything like Sunday Ticket, and you also get access to every single game, unlike Sunday Ticket. Paramount isn’t a great option even if it does work with a VPN, because you only get CBS games, which is only half the schedule this season.

Edit: nvm, just looked it up and it seems both DAZN and Paramount block VPN workarounds now. IPTV is the way to go.

It works.

But I only tried with Express VPN, just connected to a Miami server and it worked.

Change your zip code to a miami zip code in the paramount app. I did this last year and it worked wonderfully.

I’ve done this in the past, but it got frustrating when games ended up on Fox. By the time I paid for the VPN, paid for Fox and paramount, and then still had to pay for espn and prime, I was in more than I’ve ever paid for direct tv.

Only 3 of the first 10 weeks will be on paramount this season.

It worked for me 2 years ago but I found that just finding streams worked better. Maybe they have improved by now but paramount plus had a bunch of streaming issues.

I did last year. Worked well.

Oh snap…

…well, I am now!

I got sick of searching high and low for my game, so I broke down and got Sunday Ticket last year because I heard you could share it with “your family group.” Now three of us get to watch, each from our home, and split it three ways. I would never cough up the full price. Two caviots; it worked last year, so we’ll see about this year, and we are all in the same state, though i’m not sure that matters.

If you have Paramount+ on a Roku, you can change your location zip code to anywhere. That means your live TV will play the local CBS station to whatever zip code you have set. It only works on a physical roku attached to a TV. Doesn’t work on any mobile device.

My VPN doesn’t work with Paramount+. Whenever I use the VPN the local cbs channel doesn’t show on the live. However, on my browser I have location guard extention installed. I set the fixed location to whatever local affiliate is showing the game I want and then login to paramount+ on that broswer. I then stream the game from my PC to my smartTV using Steamlink. I did this for all of the preseason games.
