I’ve been getting this message more than 2 days and idk why this is happening. I can’t sign in any of my google accounts and whenever I try it, the brower freezes at first then I get this message. Could anybody help me?
What sites have you tried? It looks like it’s some kind of boycott against Firefox or you have some weird extension installed
Now do it again with a new profile and show your result.
Import your bookmarks to edge or chrome as Firefox uses older protocols and that’s why it’s slow and some websites don’t even work or sign you in.
i try to sign in the youtube, I only have 5 extensions installed, browsec vpn, canvasblocker, return dislike buttoj, temp mail and uBlock, that’s all.
Turn them all off and try again, or create a new profile in about:profiles and try again. Add one extension at a time and see which one is causing it.
imma guess its the VPN one…
The issue is likely the VPN. Never use a browser extension for that, always get a dedicated VPN application. If you don’t want to pay, ProtonVPN is reputable and free.
had the same issue yesterday, turned canvasblocker off and it worked for me. never seen this before google changed their login page hmm
Browsersec VPN is made by Russian.
If the error only happened on the YouTube website, I don’t doubt that it is a boycott by Google because of the stampede that went to Firefox because of uBlock
ProtonVPN is reputable and free.
It should be noted that ProtonVPN’s free version is reputable because it’s more of a trial than a free service. Typically “free” and “VPN” are huge red flags. ProtonVPN dedicates a limited selection of servers to free users*. They block stuff like P2P on free servers, and the free IPs are likely blacklisted all over the place.
Edit:
* I just checked again, they say there are 5 locations available in the free tier, but I can only see 3 locations (Japan, Netherlands, US) with servers that have the “FREE” suffix. There are some posts indicating that as a free user you can’t chose a server anymore and it only gets automatically selected to prevent overcrowding. In any case, if you want a VPN but don’t want to pay for it, ProtonVPN is probably your best choice for “privacy-centric” VPNs. Honorable mention also for Cloudflare’s WARP, it actively prevents you from choosing a location further away from you, but it’s super fast, I used it for a while to bypass problems with my ISP’s routing.
Edit 2: Disclaimer: I have been a customer of the paid ProtonVPN tier pretty much since it came out.
Seems to be a bug on their end, a beta fix is listed in this thread as well
I deleted that but then when I delete ublock, it suddenly sign in my account…
So…? (let me guess, xenophobia)
I already noted that in my “if you don’t want to pay” remark implying paid is better but understandable not everyone can pay then suggested Proton as the free option.
I’ve since switched to Mullvad but I didn’t come across anything that was blacklisted or blocked except the P2P. But then again I only used it for videos.
uBlock Origin has configurable filters. Maybe one of them is obscuring the information that Google expects to receive during sign-on, or the data that passes among the Google and YouTube domains?
I really don’t know but this sound like a new youtube video idea
I use it because my state has a dumbass age verification law for porn
That, for example, would be a use case where using ProtonVPN’s free tier might work, I don’t think NSFW sites are ones to typically force infinite Captchas on VPN IPs. Google is notorious for these infinite Captcha challenges for VPN IPs.
My use case is mainly getting around geoblocks for Netflix. Recently I also had to use it because Microsoft Flight Simulator has an absolutely busted download system where it’s faster to use a VPN.
Edit: For getting around actively enforced geoblocks (i.e. services that block VPN IPs like Netflix & co), you definitely need a paid VPN like Proton, I believe even Mullvad doesn’t offer this.
