How can I have my computer connect to a vpn?

I’m going to be traveling so I got a vpn to use while I’m away.

I’m just trying to get it up and running and I’m totally lost on the how part. On my phone its comically easy, just download the Mullvad app from Fdroid and bob’s your uncle.

But I’m confused on how to do it on my destkop. There isn’t a VPN settings that I can find in the Network Settings.

Can someone guide me? Thanks

what distro are you on? I assume that your package manager has a mullvad client somewhere

.

System Settings… Connections… + (add connection) … scroll down to “VPN Connections”

Alternatively, use ExpressVPN with the browser addon and just click an icon on your browser to enable/disable VPN.

Oh sorry. On Manjaro and I searched before posting. But there are so many mullvad packages that I got confused about which one do I need to install. Which made me wonder if I can do it directly from KDE’s setting

It seems that your comment contains 1 or more links that are hard to tap for mobile users.
I will extend those so they’re easier for our sausage fingers to click!

Here is link number 1 - Previous text “.”

you can do it from kde settings but you’d need an openvpn config file, which you could likely download from their website. or… look at the arch wiki for mullvad and it tell you the client to install
