I bought a trojan/shadowsocks proxy service and used it via clash-nyanpasu on linux (arch), but torrenting via qbittorrent is still very slow, usually less than a few KB per second. How do I make qbittorrent use the proxy for download? Or is it possible that my trojan/shadowsocks proxy service doesn’t allow torrents?
I found using a seedbox is a better alternative
The countries that restrict your internet to the point where you need to use these technologies usually allow the torrenting of western intellectual property.
I haven’t tried, but if you have 3$ a month to spare you can torrent over real debrid or an equivalent service(easydebrid, all debrid, torbox, etc.), works without a vpn in china (I get 50-100 MB/s a lot of the time on my gigabit connection) and doubles as a universal streaming service to boot with stremio which can be installed onto chinese android tvs with some effort. Basically a seedbox but most of the time you can skip the torrenting part. Using it with jdownloader is how I download almost anything these days.
my torrenting speed is very fast because i host my own trojan server in my vps… many sellers do restrict torrenting
