How is there so many good Chinese players if Valorant was only recently released in China?

it is, your question is a good one, what you encounter is just your usual reddit moment

A discussion requires substance. This is literally a single sentence answer.

Learn the difference.

But didn’t win LOL zif so good then why lose?

I am assuming that it was not a guarantee that Valorant would be released in China. The pros must have taken a risk to dedicate so much time into it

Not really, there are plenty of things to do within the firewall.

One of the Valorant teams is literally run by a YouTube equivalent (Bilibili). Weird take

They were also pretty ass at the utility side for a year or so tho :joy:

Korea is still dominating China in lol 10 years later

You really don’t have to keep wasting your time in this thread if it’s not relevant to you… Reddit is full of redundant threads, simple question threads, and pure fluff/meme threads. If it’s not your thing, just move on or downvote if you must. Let the upvote/downvote system work.

cause they dont care about fps

Tencent has a significant investment in riot games. It was for sure gonna launch in china

Yeah pretty much. EDG was the only East Asian team that made it through the East Asia LCQ in 2022. The new VCT format makes it easier for Chinese players to get into the pro scene since they’re only fighting players within their own enclosed region with official dedicated servers instead of the rest of APAC on borrowed servers.

China got into LoL pretty late and I acknowledge the T1 dominance but my point still stands, how many top tier Korean players disband or leave just to go to China. In LoL, Korea is so incredibly lucky faker doesn’t care about the money. Faker is pretty much a blank cheque to go anywhere he wants and if it weren’t for him Korea wouldn’t be as dominate as they are now. This one guy alone.

Saying Korea is still dominating China in league is pretty fucking untrue lmao. Korea won the last two worlds but the Chinese teams were still very competitive and even 2023 it was pretty much T1>China>rest of Korea. This isnt even mentioning MSI which China has historically dominated in.

Ape brain just looks at the finals of worlds and ignores other factors lol.

Oh, so they aren’t good.

Slight correction: Tencent own 100% of Riot

If only this were true for all Riot games, Tencent could’ve saved LOR but they didn’t give a shit about games that make no profit

Tencent owns 100% of Riot, it was only a matter of time before it would release officially in China

No idea what is the downvote for. There are plenty of copycat websites, apps and games in China. YouTube, Facebook, IG, Wiki, Google all have their own versions in China.
