I am interesting in testing iOS sideloading. I am currently living in USA.
After I installed iPadOS 17.4 beta on my spare iPad, I tried change region to France on the same iPad. Unfortunately, the same iPad’s IDENTIFIABLE_REGION says United States of America instead of France.
I tried use spoof location and VPN from France, so the same iPad’s IDENTIFIABLE_REGION didn’t change from United States of America.
How I can turn my spare iPad into European Union iPad without using European Union Apple ID, so I can keep using my American Apple ID and trying iOS sideloading? NO jailbreaking, Filza, or editing Mobilegestalt!
If not possible, do you have spare European Union Apple ID for me?
There aren’t any apps to test yet so no need to rush.
I don’t know if this is useful, but I have had success disabling the shutter sound for the same region-based feature as sideloading in the EU by changing the model number. AppleID region or current location is probably irrelevant.
You don’t seem to be able to use Filza, and I’m guessing you can’t.
Super curious, did you ever find a way to trick it? Trying to get apps from AltStore PAL with no success yet. Tried resetting, changing region, no SIM, any of these work for you?
I think it will be hardware locked, look at your model number, for example model number A2484 (13 Pro Max) is American model number and A2643 is European model number for the same phone

I am happy with no VPN required for sideloading eligible, so I can use my American Wi-Fi with no VPN at my home to try iOS sideloading since VPN is a paid subscription.
My European Union Apple ID, my spare iPhone/iPad’s current location, or my spare iPhone/iPad’s current region may be necessary to make sure my spare iPhone/iPad is eligible for iOS sideloading.
I had to make European Union Apple ID through my American Apple ID’s Sandbox ID, so I changed from my American Apple ID to my European Union Apple ID on my spare iPad. At this time, IDENTIFIABLE_REGION might says United States of America.
I changed my single iPhone’s device region to France from United States of America (USA) before updating to iOS 17.4 beta. During my single iPhone’s updating to iOS 17.4 beta, its device region was stayed France. Now, the same iPhone’s IDENTIFIABLE_REGION says UNKNOWN. I went to Settings app’s Privacy & Security and I saw “Contactless & NFC”. After that, I changed my single iPhone’s device region to USA from France. After that, I am still saw “Contactless & NFC” in Settings app’s Privacy & Security as well as IDENTIFIABLE_REGION still says UNKNOWN. After that, I changed my single iPhone’s device region to France from USA.
I kept got “This app cannot be installed because its integrity could not be verified.” message when I sideloaded Spotify Tweaked App from ipaomtk via “iOS install” instead of “.ipa download”. This happened on my single iPhone when device region set to both France and USA.
For these results, I believed Apple inc.'s iOS sideloading server might think my American iPhone 14 Pro Max (A2651) is European Union iPhone thanks to setting France as Device region for iOS 17.4 beta update.
Happened on my borrowed iPad too! I had to set device region in France for this iPad today before updating it to iPadOS 17.4 beta. After that, Apple inc.'s iOS sideloading server might think this iPad is European Union iPad too! This iPad’s IDENTIFIABLE_REGION was always said UNKNOWN when change device region to United States of America. After the testing was done, I had to restored this iPad back to iPadOS 17.3 today.
Previously, IDENTIFIABLE_REGION was always said US when I updated this iPad to iPadOS 17.4 beta when its device region was stayed USA on January 25, 2024. The same iPad was restored back to iPadOS 17.3 on January 26, 2024.
Before you updating your iPhone to iOS 17.4 beta, please change device region to any European Union country you would like. This may can help you get iOS sideloading.
Also, my European Union Apple ID’s billing address was set in Paris, France.
My single iPhone’s Apple ID and Carrier were American Apple ID and AT&T (USA) at time of updating to iOS 17.4 beta.

This happened on my borrowed iPad too when updated to iPadOS 17.4 beta with its device region set in France!
This iPhone was located in USA at time of updating to iOS 17.4 beta.
My Apple Watch Ultra (2022) paired with this iPhone had the same watch’s device region set in USA at time of updating to iOS 17.4 beta.
