Yes, people who use various AV often judge them as good just because they use them. most people have no way to evaluate how they work so they are happy with progress bars
I’m talking about Windows Defender Antivirus (Windows 10/11 for end-users), the corporate edition of Defender known as Windows Defender for Endpoint currently do not have MDR, but they have XDR and possibly the biggest volume of telemetry data from billions of Windows Defenders around the globe.
Both Kaspersky and Bitdefender do not have MDR for end-users as Windows Defender Antivirus do not have XDR. Using Block at first sight, Cloud Scanning and Smart App Control you have a stronger security than any third-party antivirus.
I don’t know any AV that have a similar security feature like Smart App Control (blocks unsigned code libraries inside executables and other files), which can allow the program to run normally without those libraries.
Windows Defender is the most compatible AV for Windows, have the best performance and integration, the same can be said about Defender for Endpoint.
For end-users I think is the best option available, for corporate users it is very strong but of course another vendors can bring new and sophisticated way to detect very complex and state sponsored exploits and malware.
This is my opinion about this subject, of course you can have another point of view and experience than me.
Alright. Thank you man. And I’m guessing I keep MWB to scan with my normal scanner.
Yes mwb is mighty good as a scanner
Appreciate it man ![]()
Actually, could I use Bit defender for its VPN? Because if I remember correctly, the built in VPN cost money.
you should not use free vpn
if you need one then buy nord or surfshark or something
Alright. Sorry for the disturbance. And thanks again.
