Norton AV is a virus in some other aspects. XD. It uses more RAM and more CPU resources than some other AV scanners. It’s actually an anti-virus that may have been loaded by default within your OS.
Norton is complete garbage
Idk if they’re viruses but I’d remove them
If you didn’t install them, there’s no reason not to uninstall them
To me this sounds normal.
The computer is asking to reset your pin due to bios changes
As for other programs being installed it’s possible that in the bios update. It now installs programs in windows on startup. I would check your bios and see if installing programs automatically is an option. It is on my bios
Yes - norton is at this point a virus
This might be what we call bloatware. Unwanted apps installed by device manufacturers/software vendors.
regedit >>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Device Metadata /v PreventDeviceMetadataFromNetwork
set to false
This registry key allows hardware manufacturers of your components to automatically install software, sometimes be it bloat
win+R >> sysdm.cpl >> Hardware >> device installation setting
You can manage also some bloat ware from here.
If its Norton then yes, its malicious
Dragon? Dragon deez …
if u have a gigabyte motherboard then ur most likely fine and these are things that install with the firmware update to ur bios this happened to me too from some like app center thing they have
I’m assuming at least part of your PC (motherboard or GPU) is MSI? Dragon is MSIs assistant app, and if you don’t uncheck all the extra features in MSIs management software, you’ll get partner and accompanying apps installed occasionally. Really the only downside to MSI hardware if you don’t know to turn that feature off.
Virus? No. Obnoxious? Yes.
As for Norton, yes it is and remove it immediately. Lol (it’s not, but with all the spyware/malware like tendencies it does it might as well be, like selling your personal telemetry)
Norton is literally a waste of disk space, CPU resources and RAM. Windows defender is 100% capable these days. I’ve never had a problem, and I’ve gone on plenty of dodgy websites and downloaded plenty of potentially dangerous stuff.
Let me guess. Gigabyte CC? That app is a menace.
I’m guessing you used the software from the motherboard manufacturer to update. You likely missed a screen where you could uncheck installing these programs.
Av programs are not needed anymore. Plus they are resource hogs. Windows defender is just fine.
Bro made a post on reddit instead of using google xDD
Yeah I forgot also my headphones changed names
And don’t work
if you ever get random things on your pc out of blue you have virus or you don’t read while installing programs and allow adwares to be installed on your oc
