Kaspersky activation requires a geo IP check, which is a problem for me due to ISP censorship.
Since common US VPNs are censored, so unless it is unable to activate unless I figured out how to setup VPN over VPN on windows. (VPN+VM+VPN will activate the virtual machine)
I want to a Kaspersky in English; but according to “My Kaspersky” registration, neither my direct IP or VPN IP offers English.
Hence there comes this question:
- During “My Kaspersky” registration, it indicates that language is bound to region. Is it really so?
- In case of paid subscription, does it check geo IP only once or per device activation?
For paid subscriptions, the safest option is to ask Kaspersky via their forum. State the software you wish to install, Standard, Plus, Internet Security etc. and your actual country, and your wish to obtain an English language version.
Kaspersky’s global version of Security Cloud Free, has far fewer regional restrictions, so you might be able to activate it. It should also be in English.
There are, though, certain countries where Kaspersky can not offer free software. Its third-party retailers block activation in those countries. Kaspersky’s forum will help find the best solution.
There are easier ways to install rootkit.
i was messing around with region and currency settings and found out that if you set your region to Latin America and currency to ARS you could get the most expensive plan for just ARS 2 639.00 (10 USD) per year
I haven’t tried though cuz I’m still on my trial, but their pricing system is so bad.
