Has anyone else had this issue? My Hulu app on my AppleTV 4k logged me out and won’t let me back in saying that my email and password are incorrect. Despite this, I can access Hulu content through my Disney+ app on the AppleTV that has the same set of credentials and I can access the Hulu apps on both my phone and pc using those credentials.
Update: If I log out of the app on my phone the credentials no longer work there either. Does Hulu force you to reset you password every so often or something?
So, I have a bunch of shows set to record the new episodes. Some shows however, do not record but they appear under My Stuff as new. We can watch these episodes but because they’re not ‘recorded’, they’re considered on-demand and we have to watch commercials.
Is there a method to get everything recorded that is marked as such or does Hulu do some funky deciding as to what is on-demand and what it will record?
Does it behave differently if a show is both added to My Stuff and recording as opposed to only having it in one or the other?
i have hulu with ads because of my spotify subscription for 11.99/mo and disney+ premium for 13.99/mo. what would happen if i got the disney hulu espn bundle? would that affect my current spotify plan?
RE: “Visit advertiser’s site” logo in top-left corner will not disappear (Firefox)
Just recently, I have had an issue watching Hulu on Firefox, on a laptop computer. A movie (for example THE CONTESTANT) starts with a few ads, with the countdown of ad time shown in top-left corner. The countdown/ads finish, and a little logo appears in their place, “Visit advertiser’s site”…and it won’t ever disappear, even as the movie proceeds. Closing the browser and relaunching it, and starting the process over again…seems to make no difference.
I’ve watched a lot of stuff on the same browser/set-up, even just more-or-less recently, and I don’t remember having this problem before. Is there something I can do to get that to disappear?
Today, teen titans go! Stopped playing on my son’s child profile. I get an error code P-EDU124. The show is PG but it continues to give the error that it can’t be played on a kids profile. So now the only way for him to watch it is for me to sign into mine, which is locked with a pin. I don’t want to have to monitor him fully hence why i have the pin for the adult profile. The show was working fine all day yesterday. Does anyone know why this changed happened?
Any Idea as to why I can’t click agree and continue on the ToS? I’ve tried it on multiple devices and nothing ever happens when I click on it. I have the bundle with Disney and ESPN but I cant get Hulu.
I have been having this issue for quite a while and cannot seem to get beyond it. I have the trio bundle with Disney+ and can login to everything else just fine; however, when I try to activate my Hulu subscription, all I get is the spinning circle as seen in the attached screenshot. I’ve used multiple devices, multiple browsers, cleared the cache and cookies, etc , but to no avail. Has anyone else had this issue? If yes, how did you fix it?
Our subscription was renewed earlier this month. I’ve cleared my cache since last I used Hulu. Tried putting in our login manually tonight and was given the error in red as you see. No prompt or link for creating a myDisney account. What gives?
I can’t even log in, I get to to the screen with “agree and continue” where it does nothing if I click it. I am trying to cancel because I don’t use it much and don’t want to keep paying for it after the price hike
PSA: If you get P-EDU101 error like I did, the issue could be as simple as restarting your gateway/modem, thereby likely getting a new IP address from your ISP.
The gist of the error is “Error playing this video. You appear to be using an anonymous proxy tool”
But maybe you are like me and you do not have a VPN and have never messed with your device’s network proxy settings.
I got the error whether I was using chromecast or my mobile phone. Just in case manually setting my DHCP’s DNS to my router for DNS caching (Ubiquiti Edgerouter-X) was something Hulu hates, I tried setting a different DNS server, and I still got the error. Then the idea that Hulu blocked the IP address that my ISP gave me mightve been blocked by Hulu because someone else using the IP before me was malicious. So I restarted my gateway to get a new IP, and all is well.
Here’s a summary of possible root causes:
Accessing Hulu from outside the United States
Unsupported third-party app (or mobile device)
VPN or VPS to access Hulu
Anonymizing your web surfing
Block-listed IP address because of previous anonymous proxy use
Hulu on my television keeps stopping randomly and sending me to the TVs main home page. I took the batteries out of the remote to see if the home button was faulty, but sure enough, after about ten minutes of watching Hulu, the screen goes black and it sends me home.
I have a Hulu account that is setup on another TV. I tried logging into my account via my laptop and for some reason I can’t get past the 6 digit verification screen. I keep getting the same error and have tried multiple times with different codes (yes, it’s the correct code). Anyone else having this issue?
Unable to log in to my account. Asks to sign up with Disney. I do not have Disney+ and do not want it!
Even after trying to go that route, it only wants me to purchase a Hulu bundle instead of allowing me to log in. About to completely cancel as no one seems to be able to fix this!
Pretty furious right now. I signed up for D+ back when it was $79 annually, and a looong time ago had a trial Hulu account.
Today I decided I would update my current D+ sub and get the bundle including Hulu because it’s cheaper than the recent stand alone price for D+.
I had to contact D+ support to find out I had to cancel my current sub before I could buy the bundle.
Then when I bought the bundle… the activate Hulu link DOES NOT work. It lets me log in to MyDisney (let’s not begin to talk about how confusing the distinction from D+ and MyDisney must be for some), it sends me an email verification code, asks for me for a name, then asks for me to agree to Hulu’s terms… only it does nothing when I click accept.
The poor D+ chat agent was getting direction from 2nd tier support, asking me to use an alternative email. NEVER! YOU FIGURE YOUR ISH OUT. What an insulting suggestion after sending me and the D+ support agent in circles trying incognito tabs and the like. Only to THEN SAY “oh there’s a known issue with the activation link”. Why didn’t they lead with THAT?
Guess I’ll try tomorrow, but if I can’t activate my Hulu account within the next 3 days I’m taking them to task HARD.
Maybe someone here has found an actual work around?
Problem 1 Streaming issue: When I press play for one of the shows I am watching, “This Fool,” it does not play ; it just loads forever. I cleared my browser history as suggested and it didn’t help. I spoke with tech support who had me check for updates of my Dell computer (I don’t have a TV) and it was already updated. I am using my web browser, Google Chrome, btw.
Problem 2 App Login issue: I had the grand idea, while on the phone with tech support, to download the app onto my computer and see if the issue cleared if I used the app instead. However, I couldn’t successfully login to the app (but could login to Hulu on my web browser), even after creating a new password. Tech support had me disconnect from the wifi and shutdown (and unplug) my computer for 3 minutes and still I was both unable to login on the app and unable to stream “This Fool” (but can stream other shows) on my web browser.
Would love some feedback on how I might remedy these issues. Otherwise, I’m, canceling Hulu.
