I got hit with a big spike today that consumed my $2.50 balance. I wasn’t even playing. Something seems odd. Could the game have updated itself through the VPN? Has anyone had this happen with Mudfish before?

Yea, I’m surprised they don’t warn people about this more clearly, but when you enable the VPN for some games and are also watching Twitch, it cannot distinguish game traffic vs Twitch traffic. Lost Ark is one of those games. Here is their official explanation:
Some popular games are running on Amazone EC2 cloud to publish their games. So in a view of Mudfish, it’s almost impossible to distinguish whether these traffics go to Twitch and the game server running on Amazon EC2 because Mudfish is implemented based on the routing table of OS.
Due to above reason, sometimes mudfish credits could be consumed if you tried to watch Twitch while Mudfish is running even if you’re not using Full VPN mode.
I’m using mudfish and I think I saw them like 2 or 3 times in the past week. I watch twitch and other videos all the time while playing and it did eat up my free credits instantly.
No big deal though. I bought the $2.99 pay per traffic and it’s like 25 gigs of bandwidth. This is gonna last you 5 years lol
Holy crap. That’s insane. Thanks for letting me know about this. I guess I’ll stick to Youtube when playing!
It doesn’t seems to be the case anymore. I’m watching Twitch and it doesn’t used up the bandwidth.
not to be a mudfish salesman, but it clearly says so at the top of Lost Ark item configuration. https://imgur.com/dOTn4nF
Do you have the WFP item mode enabled? That seems to be a possible solution, but I have not tested it yet.
Yep their warnings are very clear. Same for the full vpn mode.
I watched a YouTube stream and had no issues. Then watched a Twitch stream and it ate my allotment.
I really think that announcement at the top could be clearer and specify Twitch.
Yea you need wfp mode, I’m watching twitch every time I play and it never cost me any credit
I do have that enabled, also fastconnect and credit saving mode. Also have “Video Ad-Block, for Twitch” chrome extension.
I had the same problem, consumed my 3$ the first day. I enabled WFP and didn’t have any problem ever since while watching Twitch at the same time.
You still have to be careful though. Game update in the launcher will use credits too if mudfish is running.
