I’m not familiar with the windows CLI, but on Linux you can get around that with typing
nordvpn login --legacy
in a terminal window, and then giving your username and password when promted.
But this is bad. heavily restricted countries, such as Russia, Iran, China, Turkey; The internet service provider sees that the web browser is logged out. It even gets stuck in deep packet inspection. 5 years ago they used to open it through the Nordvpn program session.
