NordVPN on windows startup takes LONG STARTUP TIME (11 seconds).
I’ve noticed this as well, not sure what could be causing it but it makes Windows boot time so much longer and Windows is on an M.2 drive.
Checked if there might be a conflict with Avast but all permissions have been given.
80% of the time on boot, I’ll get a message that “NordVPN App Needs Restart”.
- Network Drivers are uptodate
- Windows 10 is uptodate
- Reinstalled NordVPN
- Windows 10 is fairly recent.
Tbh, I’m cancelling Nord. I find it nearly unusable
Always been slow for me … Win10 … about 15 sec.
This is just to start the app. on manual connect.

Yes i have Avast Antivirus and Avast Cleanup as autostart and these are important.
Ok I’ll try turning off NordVPN from autostart and manually start it when the system is booted.
