Prmsrvs.com virus?

I’ve been getting this notifcation from norton saying that i’ve been trying to get attacked by “fi.6prmsrvs.com” but I haven’t visited any malcious sites, but this only happened once I downloaded yandere simualtor from the download site, I always download it off mediafire and theres always that white blank popup and it’s only happened now. (The virus not the popup) A couple days back it happened to me but I managed to get rid of it via clearing my history. Has this been happening to anyone else? Is it connected to yandere simulator or just mediafire? I’ve already deleted yanderesim due to boredom though.

I’ve downloaded gazillons of sims 4 mods and had never gotten anything like this, so this is why I’m posting this here :sob:

edit: also to those scared this isn’t really a virus according to google, it’s like a unwanted software or something, nothing too serious

Email Yandev. He’s at his monitor 24/7, so might as well make him answer your question

Yandere simulator gets flagged as malware or a virus by anti-virus software, happened to a few friends of mine trying to download the game so it may be that?

Might be some adware from somewhere, I don’t think there’s any adware in YanSim itself. Make sure ya do some windows defender/malwarebytes scans to see if it’s still there

I just realized after lot of searching the prmsrvs com is actually [premium servers(I guess)] of Browsec VPN extension of chrome. The norton intrusion is triggered from the extension files of browsec chrome files located at extensions folder inside chrome user data in app data. I went through the extension code and lot of those prmsrvs is hardcoded in manifest common and background files of Browsec vpn extension. At this point I am confused is it actual intrusion or necessary evil. Do I remove the extension or not. From where I am VPN is banned and I have only browsec to rely on. Hard choice. Currently keeping the extension disabled.

i asked abt it in the server and GOT BANNED :sob::sob::sob: im assuming thats also off the table

I did a norton smart scan and it detected nothing, I’m sure I’m fine since I’m not getting notifcations from norton anymore

Heya thanks for commenting, it definately went away after i removed one of my firefox VPN extensions, I don’t think it’s a virus since my laptop is fine

Many thanks. I’ve been trying to figure this one out for a couple of weeks.

Oh dear, that was not my intention. Try looking at the FAQ or emailing the guy directly.

Its okay, thank you tho
