So I had just started using PsiphonVPN for my school since the majority of websites are blocked on the school’s network. I was loading up a Google Doc when I was hit with an error stating that my IP was forbidden." This happened to the Rockstar Game Launcher as well which the application gives me a network error “Online sign in error” due to my IP address. I found this strange because I had figured the VPN wouldn’t had cause an issue like this because I hadn’t ran into a problem like this. I had tried changing the locations as well as tried tried using a PROXY server but ended up with the same result. Is there anything that I can do to fix this?
It’s not uncommon for networks to exclude known VPN IPs. It’s hit or miss whether or not your IP has been identified as VPN address. You could try other servers from that provider, or you could try different providers to see if you can find one that works with the sites you use. VPN providers add and remove servers all the time, so it’s always possible that this problem you’re having today won’t be a problem tomorrow.
Thank you for your response, I have been trying to fix this for the past week it just had gotten to the point where I decided to reach out for help. The thing is that my school blocked a significant amount of VPN’s “NordVPN, Hidemyass.com, Hotspot Shield, Sockshare, etc” and Psiphon is about the only VPN that I can use under the school network that isn’t blocked.
I’m glad you didn’t use the VPNs you listed and they were blocked.
