I’ve been trying to bind my VPN to qbittorrent. When I go to settings>advanced>network interface I see “any interface, lo, eth0”. If I use ipconfig/all in command prompt it says “unknown adapter ProtonVPN TUN” for my protonvpnn and “Unknown adapter Local Area Connection” for expressvpn
Regardless of which VPN turned on or even if I have both off Network interface still shows “any interface, lo, eth0”.
I then looked at the settings on unRAID and VPN_ENABLED was turned to false. I turned it to true and tried opening qbittorrent again but now I show “this site can’t be reached”. So I went back to the settings on unRAID and tried filling out the VPN section the same way I did for deluge but I still get “this site can’t be reached”. The only way I can get back to qbittorrent WebUI is by turning VPN_ENABLED to false.
I’m using hotio’s version of qbittorrent. I did try binhex but couldn’t get logged in at all.
When you start the container + the container console you should see some messages depending on if it works or not.
Also you can curl ifconfig.io in the container console and check if the IP adress is different from your normal one.
I don’t think you have need to change anything in qBittorent / settings>advanced>network interface - the container takes care of everything (including preventing IP leaks etc.)
I think the VPN_LAN_NETWORK part could be important to your problem? Make sure it matches your home network.
Well I think I got it figured out. I had been following IBRACORP’s video about hardlinks and he created a custom network type for qbittorrent to use. I tried changing that back to the default “Bridge” and now it will let me open the WebUI with VPN_ENABLED turned on.
I did try to check the ip address with the container console but it would’t let me open it. The popup screen just said 502 bad gateway. Not sure why but I did check it using torguard check my ip torrent and it is different.
