Woah boy I thought the Kirkland shower scene was steamy and then when they shot to a cow named Lenny
I feel bad for Hayley I think this will be painful for her to watch back. Mischa is not into it at all and for the last couple of episodes she hasn’t been picking up those signals.
I wish they’d explore the drama between Rachel and Quinn more, they both are very comfortable putting the other down, must have sucked for Hayley to live with that. Quinn comes across as a pick-me girl, I guess this is literally an environment where one is competing to be picked though lol
This was a very eye opening episode for each farm
Kirkland
-Sam eliminating himself because he says that he’s sure of himself and Kirkland is not is SUCH an amazing thing to hear, I had to stand up snap and clap for Sam bcs someone finally showed to Kirkland that he’s the problem. I think it gave Kirk some hit of reality
-Greg’s date was sweet and intimate, I do think that Kirk will end up with Greg bcs I think they’re at the same level of thought when it comes to what they want in a relationship. Kale is quite sure of himself and what he wants, and idk if Kirk is as sure as he is.
-Kale’s date was very quick but I liked it a lot. I know that Kale brings the least drama and acts like the person that grounds Kirkland.
Josh
-Jessie’s date we didn’t really see much of what each other thought. I still don’t think Josh is gonna end up with any of them or if he does, idk if it’ll last.
-Alysha was really sweet and cute, I see that Alysha is very open about her feelings, and wants the best for herself.
-Kennedy’s date was really sweet and that I think Josh and Kennedy’s connection is the strongest. When they come home I felt so bad for Alysha and Jessie, but I mean it happens, I hope that Kennedy didn’t mean it like that. I truly think they’re gonna self-eliminate all together
Mischa
-Quinn’s date was very practical and realistic they talked about their beliefs and plans in life. I like how Quinn’s vision is that she can take root anywhere, and I think she’s displayed her strong resilience as well.
-Rachel was also practical but sweeter, surprised they didn’t cover much about their beliefs of spiritualism vs Naturalism. Funny how both Rachel and Quinn commented against each other’s date with Mischa. Since day 1 Rachel and Quinn have been the opposite sides of each other
-Hayley’s is very cute, she’s so adorable but I think that Mischa is the most unsure when it comes to Hayley. That’s fair, they have the most age gap so they might have different goals in life.
Next preview was wild already for the 10 seconds it was introduced!! I’m excited!!
I think
Kirkland will pick Kale
Mischa will pick Rachel
Josh will pick Kennedy. These two met outside the show. It’s always been her.
I think Mischa is my “ unclear if they are still together” pick. The other two couples probably are.
Also did anyone know what happened to the other female farmer who was supposed to be on this season? Not Erin. Someone else
I do think that Mischa likes Hayley because she challenges him a bit. Quinn and Rachel are just going to do anything he wants to be a part of his world. But I guess we will see!
Thank you sooo much for doing this. I got hooked via IG reels but I’m too cheap for a VPN lol. What did Quinn and Rachel say to each other?
First of all, I miss Erin so much. She is such a cool and inspiring woman. I really want to be friends with her. I feel like she took this experiment seriously and did what was right for her.
On another note, as a perennial single person, this episode gave me an insight into how complicated dating is, even in our 30s. I was under the impression that with age, it would get easier in some ways. Was I wrong.
I had a genuine question after watching this episode. Are Mischa and his potential partners looking for a marriage of convenience? I’d guess so, with the constant calculations and over-analysis. It would probably be better if they acknowledged it and then tried to figure out how to make it work. In his said calculations and analysis of factors and metrics, Mischa seems to have forgotten one key component of making a relationship work: genuine connection and feelings. That is the keystone of any solid, functional, loving relationship. I mean, everything else is just logistics, which, to be honest, are something you’ll have to constantly keep figuring out throughout your life anyway.
On Kirkland’s farm, I’m glad Sam chose himself over everything else. He was upfront and level-headed. I really liked how he handled his whole exit with such grace.
All of Josh’s dates were so cute this time. I’m kind of confused by Alysha’s reaction at Kennedy walking in wearing Josh’s jacket. I’m guessing the wine, the dates, and the fact that they are almost at the end of the experiment all kind of led to an upheaval of emotions. I felt bad when she and Jesse were crying at the end.
Special shout out to Hayley. She seems like a sweetheart. It was awful for her to get stuck between both Quinn and Rachel, bad mouthing each other to her. And then her date with Mischa had him talking about the other two. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m rooting for her.
Knowing Mischa I think Haley would have the most long term potential except that as a nurse she wouldn’t be able to help much with the farm. Rachel would go well for 6 months to a year and then end very badly when they realized they have different core beliefs. Quinn’s a hot mess and it would crash and burn so quickly.
Kirkland
Greg seems all over the place, and it’s not the edit or other daters at this point. The fiasco with Sam was over the top. He also was talking as if they were already in a relationship and as if kirkland was cheating? I still think Kirkland may chose him with how strong the feelings and chemistry clearly were!
I always liked how him and kale bonded, so I’m biased here. I think they can relate on a lot of things and kale is patient and kind to him. I also think kale can instigate sometimes, with the preview doing that again. hopefully it doesn’t work against him!
Mischa
I think he will pick Rachel. She seems to fit his lifestyle, but isn’t as combative as quinn. I thought it was hilarious that Quinn and Rachel were so threatened by each other bc they clearly weren’t threatened by Haley!
Josh
The politician of the season. I don’t think he has expressed something that he dislikes in any of the daters this whole time? He definitely wants the nice guy edit and I have a hunch he will go with kennedy or the blonde one.
Did not watch the episode however though Greg had that connection but as you described it now I don’t know
What was Greg’s date like?
Thank you so much for making this write-up-- the guy I’m dating and I have been watching from the U.S. and no one is watching it here so it’s nice to hear what other people are thinking
After episode 8 (we have not watched episode 9), these are my predictions and respective reasonings:
Kirkland-- he will pick Greg, I’m pretty sure. The sexual chemistry is there and let’s face it, Kirkland likes the drama. Additionally, Kirkland looked absolutely DEVASTATED when Sam self-eliminated-- I think that this is the only time a farmer has been truly gobsmacked after a self-elimination. Kirkland is clearly a player who just wants a fiesty, attractive twink, and now that Sam is gone, that only leaves Greg. If they do embark as a partnership, that relationship is destined to blow up. I’d give it 4 months tops.
Mischa-- he is so unpredictable and has the emotional maturity of a 12 year old boy. I don’t really care for his pseudo-intellectualism-- like, I understand that he thinks that Rachel’s spirituality is incorrect, but you don’t have to be dismissive or patronizing of other people’s beliefs. In fact, openness to others’ ideas (like Rachel) is much more intellectually sound than knee-jerk denouncement of others’ ideas (like Mischa). In the beginning, I thought Mischa would pick Rachel but as time has gone on, I think that he also likes his fiesty pick (Quinn). Their sexual chemistry is also undeniable.
Josh-- Jessie’s strong chemistry with Josh surprised me this episode, but I still think that Kennedy has had it in the bag since day 1. I feel bad for Alysha, her date was so shitty and Josh is not into her at all LOL.
I think Mischa will choose Quinn, Josh will pick Kennedy and Kirkland, Greg.
I think Mischa should pick Rachel, Josh should pick Alysha and Kirkland, Kale.
Ok wait so no one got sent home this week??
I can think of no better way of saying ‘I’m just not that into you’ than being taken on a last romantic date to play hockey. This is no woman’s idea of romance and I would have totally read the room at that point…
Hayley is too forward… She challenged Mischa and it’s always “do you like me, do you like me, am I likeable, what do you think of us”… and he even told her, bruh I have to deliberate and think about things after our date not during our date chillax. That shows that she is not in the moment and is trying to push him , but he is just trying to see for himself whether he enjoys her company. She is definitely going home.
That cow was so adorable, though
Hayley is a BOSS. Girl is gonna be just fine however this goes, given her humour and wit and intelligence!!
I wish we got to see more of each dater. When both Quinn and Rachel said Hayley was down to earth I was like “oh, we haven’t seen that side of her”. So to me there’s hope still that Hayley stays
