School blocked Google of all things
My school blocked Google Chrome itself.
On Chromebooks.
It’s gonna suck but eventually when teachers are gonna start picking up on the fact no one can do their homework or any work for that matter
Mine locked Youtube and a lot of other sites we need for classes
Bring a personal computer
Sometimes these things are just a temporary issue with the district servers.

2007 high school graduate here: I keep telling folks schools are perfectly capable of stupid decisions without government interference.
Ah, yes, block the search engine… smort.
My school blocked the sites that they said they allowed on their website.
my school blocked canvas.
At home, grab a USB stick and install Ubuntu Linux on it as a portable system (it easier than it sounds, and there’s lots of instructions online).
Run it on your home computer, and install a VPN service like proton.
At school, plug your USB into your school computer, and reboot, then choose the Linux option as your boot device.
Run your VPN, and enjoy unfettered access.
I call mine my amulet of possession.
My school somehow removed the settings app. I can also execute cmd in terminal lol.
mine blocked a website we need for 90% of our homework
I like how useless blocking websites is. Everyone just uses their phones and data, and if the school wifi blocks websites everyone just uses a VPN app. Even the teachers have VPNs from kids who told them how to download and use them lol
I’m starting to feel like mine is one of the few sane school districts
Try going into the search bar for what you were looking for, The lightspeed plugin is really stupid and doesn’t always have the right filters for example my school blocked coolmath but not pornhub because of the way these filters are applied.
Our school has completely banned Quizlet as a whole (at least in my school to Spanish teacher). School has banned Quizlet because it hated users clicking ads. If school wants to do so, ban ads, not entire websites (mainly Google ads). So, (tps.googlesyndication.com and s0.2mdn.net) should be banned as misleading/18+ content.

I’m guessing you were searching for something specific that got dynamically blocked. While it’s not impossible that they blocked Google, this same screen can show for dynamically blocked content, depending on how the school implements their dynamic Internet security protocols.
Just yesterday a student was claiming their school blocked Google. Only problem was the screenshot they shared showed that they were clearly searching for a fanfiction board full of adult content.
