With TRY currency first being blocked and then Rs it appears the only working method is to use a VPN and the Galaxy store to access cheaper prices?
I’ve seen several comments and a couple of people posting a vague description of the method they use but there’s conflicting comments.
Does anyone know a reliable guide for setting up the vpn and device to access the cheaper pricing?
This work for me on my S23 ultra
- Get a VPN and set your country to Turkey (I use turbo vpn).
- Remove you sim card
- Uninstal pokemon go
- Go into your app settings and clear all data for the galaxy store app
- Open the galaxy store, accept the ToS and search for pokemon go. The app page should be in turkish.
- Install pokemon go
- Open pokemon go and log into your account (mine is a Google account). You should now be able to buy pokecoins with turkey currency. Only buy the 100 pokecoins package (with this trick, 100 pokecoins cost $0.15 CAD instead of $1)
- dont put Back your SIM card or dont turn off the vpn. If you do, you will have to start over next time

Similar way as setting up play store but with vpn
Turn on desired country VPN
Log into galaxy store with newly created gmail in your desired country (like the play method)
Add payment method within the galaxy store (like you would if was on play store
Download Pokémon go from the galaxy store
Off you go
(Don’t need to continue using the vpn once its finished )

Hello I did everything exactly as you described. Now I am at step 5 and I see that the app page is in english. When I go into pokemon go, it shows me the normal prices.
Do you know what I did wrong?
Have you been able to stop Samsung store requiring pin/bio for every purchase? I turned it off in settings but it keeps requiring it for every purchase

Did you make a new samsung account? I have the same phone but no matter what I do, while I’m installing the game from the galaxy store in Turkish, the game stays in USD.
What Canadian card are you using to purchase? Having trouble with my TD cards either not working or working for a bit and then me needing to phone in to get them to unblock my transactions

No new account creation anywhere. I just have to remember to cancel the VPN trial 
Hopefully my credit card doesn’t get angry at me. Dozens of $0.15 purchases might flag fraud detection.

At step 5. Like me, do you have to provide a phone number as verification to download something from the Galaxy Store?
For me everything works as described in the guide up to step 4 (I see a link in turkish to download PoGo from the Galaxy Store). But when I tap the link, the store opens and it changes to my native language after downloading the app the prices are not stated in Turkish lira. Do you have any ideas why this doesn’t work?
Why only the 100 coins package?
