I care a lot for my privacy, and I like to use a VPN all the time. However, my VPN drains my battery way quicker.
If I’m home, does it really matter if I use a VPN or not? The only thing I do with my phone is use Reddit, tik tok and messaging. Lol.

What is your “threat model”, ie, what do you want a VPN to protect you from? You’re just shifting your trust from your ISP to your VPN provider, so the question is why do you trust them more?
As for practically speaking, if your primary concern is home use, many routers can become the VPN client so all devices on the wifi are going through that VPN tunnel without needing VPN active on-device.
Also, some VPNs are more efficient on iPhones than others. I’ve found very little battery impact from running Wireguard protocol on iOS, OpenVPN much more.
Can we just connect the vpn to the router and run all devices through the router with the vpn on it?
Do you have any resources on how to set up Wireguard? I literally just downloaded it but don’t understand anything. I’ll probably look something up.
Yes, there are products available that come preinstalled. However, you still need to subscribe to a service to hide your IP. Most people don’t understand this.
Wireguard is an encryption method. You can use the generic Wireguard client app if your VPN provider profides you Wireguard configuration files. Also, some VPN clients allow you to choose your protocol within their app, like OpenVPN, Wireguard, L2TP, etc.
