VPN on iphone...no support from apple

surely it is me who did not understand something said in my native language, it was not her who gave me wrong information in a language she barely spoke, always the fault of the users.

Thank apple for the freedom it gives us, think what subversive content can be published on apple’s official podcast platform.

Sometimes in order to defend questionable choice you use arguments that are even more so.Since when is a manufacturer responsible for a user’s use of their product? is apple responsible for me using vpn? why should it care? is it afraid of banning in undemocratic states?

I point to the moon and you look at the finger

i couldn’t remove the vpn before i got the keys back, when i could i did the test.

the issue is not related to my problem but to the fact that apple denies support under certain conditions and does not state it anywhere

Well now that you mentioned in a comment that you’re in Italy, we have to consider silly EU regulations as a possibility. Or simply Italians’ propensity to argue aggressively.

how bad it is to have laws that protect people and their privacy but maybe it is worse to have passion and argumentation skills, better to be automatons who always say yes and are okay with everything.

none of these arguments, however, have anything to do with apple not assisting people who use vpn.

i did however solve the podcast problem, changed regions (still within the eu) and then put italy back in, it works.

Well, clearly this always had something to do with content restriction.

If the problem comes back, I’d consider it might be due to filtering by: your school, your workplace, your ISP, your government. Though the latter only in more totalitarian states.

you just can’t tell it’s an ios problem…how can a school, isp or whoever else block my private phone?

They certainly can and do if you’re using their WiFi.

Fact: many employers don’t like paying their employees to yack on Facebook, shop on Amazon, play video games or fantasy leagues, gamble, etc. etc.

And in some countries (probably not Italy) governments order ISPs to block content they don’t like or sites that don’t comply with their regulations. And this extends to cell carriers.

e.g. The Great Firewall of China. Facebook blocked in Brazil.

where did I say to use wifi? p.s: I am the it manager of my company but don’t tell anyone.

you have no chance, you can’t admit it

You didn’t say WiFi or not WiFi. We have to work with what little detail we can drag out of you.

So sorry for your employees, though!

you are working with your immagination only to deny the problem.

maybe is reptilian that block podcast!

Well, it’s taking some imagination to figure out what Karen’s problem is here.
