Website blocking me from going to their site when using IPVanish, but it works when the VPN is off

Additional info:

-When I go to nhl66.ir to watch hockey (site requires a vpn to get around geolocation issues with streams) the site does not load (it previously used to)

  • using the site from my current location does not work due to geolocation restrictions

  • I used a 7 day free trial of another vpn to see if it was something I was doing wrong and it worked fine

  • When I went to the site without the VPN on, one of the popup ads that showed up was for a competitor VPN, so is it possible they are blocking me to try and push me to their business partner?

-I have been a customer for 5ish years so I would like to keep IPVanish if possible for the future

Hi there, first to be clear, IPVanish does not block access to any websites. We do our best to provide access to as many websites as possible, but sometimes as you point out some companies or website owners will block VPN access to their sites. More popular VPNs are usually targeted and blocked first but all VPNs do get blocked from time to time.

Same here. I can’t access certain website with IPVanish on. What can we do?
