I went to Dodi’s website to download RDR2 and there I saw too many links and few of them were AIO Update which says it’s for old repacks. My question is what’s exactly it is? I’m seeing it for the first time so I’m confused. The other option was No Install - Direct Play. If I want to download a game, through torrent and then install it later, which one should I select?
If you already had a previous downloaded version of that game and a new version has come out, AIO will basically help your game to update to the new version without having to download the whole game again. Its basically a small “updater” that will work with most of the older versions of the already installed game.
Hey, so I have downloaded GOWR from fitgirl and I found out the AiO update file on Dodi repacks, should I download it from there or not? I’ve got a lot of questions. I don’t know how to patch update files one by one or should I just download the AiO update file? Help!
Thanks a lot buddy. So I should avoid AIO as I’m downloading a new game. The only option left is No Install - Direct Play which apparently involves just downloading and playing without installing.
I know that. But what does it do? Can it only be used when we already have an older version of the game or what?
Just torrent it (above the AIO option) and use a VPN, its dumb to do the No Install - Direct Play as it downloads the game in its entirety without ZIPs or any repacking. Its basically going to be full game size which will only result in slower download and more data(internet) usage.
Usually updates only works if its installed in a specific version of the game. AiO updates works in any version…
Well its good if you dont’t have double the space required by the game cause you’ll have to extract the rar file
Oops, I already started downloading it and it’s a massive 119 GB lol. Gonna cancel it and download the one you mentioned. Thank you so much.
So, I can directly download and play the AIO update without applying it in an older version?
The AIO update was a different section containing only the update.
The No Install -Direct play was a full-size game file. As OP already had old files, there is no need to download it all again.
Obviously if one was to download the whole game, and then No Installs is better if you have good wifi but poor cpu and repacks are good if you have a good cpu but poor wifi.
You dont play a AiO update, you use it to make any older version of the game being up to date…
