What happens if you’re caught using a VPN on Bybit while traveling to restricted countries?

I do a lot of traveling, sometimes to the states and Canada which is restricted from using Bybit. I’m trying to follow the rules best as I can but what happens if I’m caught? Do they close my account or liquidate everything and take the money? Also are futures trading from the UK banned on Bybit? Found conflicting info on that.

I got caught using bybit in the USA and they want me to deposit $2700 into my account and they will withdraw all $120k within 3 minutes back to my Crypto.com account they say?

They give you an email saying your account will be closed at a certain date and to withdraw by then.

I live in the US and I’m moving back to Germany just for this stupid reason and good luck starting a crypto trading career in the US. You have like 5 communist countries and the US restricting it. They say it’s a free country but not really

Or, like others, they lock your account and keep your funds…

Bybit does not keep funds, if someone has their account closed for being in a restricted area, they will be given time to withdraw before the account is closed.

Except the people complaining about it don’t get that time and bybit doesn’t contact them.

They get notified when they open the app that they cannot withdraw and that’s that.

I’ve never seen any of the posts get updated so I personally have never seen it get resolved.

Hi, that’s not the case. Users do get time and I know this and have personal experience with users who’ve contacted me after their account was blocked due to being in a service-restricted country.

Just happened to me :frowning: I’m trying to take out my money as I live in Canada and just hearing about the restrictions and now I can’t withdraw :(((
