I tried to get to DuckDuckGo, and it was unreachable. I had my vpn on, so I disabled it and worked. Having to disable my vpn kind of defeats the purpose of having a vpn.
widevpn, suport wireguard, unblock any content. $9.99/yearly
Yes. I had the same experience. This is how I found your posting. I was very surprised. When i have VPN turned on, most of the time, i am used to being blocked by Google and it is a reminder to use Duckduckgo or Startpage or such, but for the first time ever, i was blocked on both. Perhaps someone will see your thread and can explain this. i would hope they have not sold out.
Well i can’t reach duckduckgo without vpn.
to sort out why it is, or isn’t reachable via a VPN, you need to have command line tools access on your computer, and use nslookup (to see if the name is resolving), ping (to see if the path is intact) and traceroute (to determine where the path is failing). could be lots of reasons for it to work one way but not the other.
Ok, it’s an odd coincidence that I happen to have two VPN subscriptions. PIA (Private Internet Access) my usual VPN is blocked by Duckduckgo or at least unreachable until I turn it off. NordVPN is not blocked by DuckDuck. It could be your VPN service provider. Go figure.
