both public download page & support.fortinet.com (yes, we have valid subscription), only online installer is remained.
is it to make user subscribe to paid “forticlient” ?

What I’ve done is I’ve run the online installer. It will then download the installation files.
Then I searched temporary files to find the offline installer. I can’t remember exactly where the files are, but if you search forticlientvpn.Exe, you should be able to find it.
It will only install the barebones VPN client, without AV or compliance components.
Hope this helps.
Offline installer able to download from login portal for those who purchase their license.
https://filestore.fortinet.com/forticlient/downloads/FortiClientVPNSetup_6.2.0.exe
https://filestore.fortinet.com/forticlient/downloads/FortiClientVPNSetup_6.2.0_x64.exe
Since some time you have to license the forticlient users, if you have licensed it, you’ll get it.
There is a way to download any offline installer.
go to support.fortinet.com
click “download” top tab, select “firmware images”
under “Select product” select FortiClient
Under that click Download Tab and browse for the desired version.

Licensing
FortiClient 6.2.0, FortiClient EMS 6.2.0, and FortiOS 6.2.0 introduce a new licensing structure for managing endpoints running FortiClient 6.2.0. See Upgrading from previous FortiClient versions for more information on how the licensing changes upon upgrade to 6.2.0. Fortinet no longer offers a free trial license for ten connected FortiClient endpoints on any FortiGate model running FortiOS 6.2.0 or on FortiClient EMS 6.2.0.
FortiClient 6.2.0 offers a free VPN-only version that you can use for VPN-only connectivity to FortiGate devices running FortiOS 5.6 and later versions. You can download the VPN-only application from FortiClient.com. You cannot use the VPN-only client with the FortiClient Single Sign On Mobility Agent (SSOMA). To use VPN and SSOMA together, you must purchase an EMS license.
Hope this helps
yes, thanks. it’s in %temp% folder, I did not mention this because I am afraid they will “fix” this, so no one will the installer easily.
and this way is very slow in our country, I have to start a VM in US based cloud, to download it faster.
pls tell me what addition license is required to download “forticlient VPN ,full installer”. we have hardware maintenance license, and VM upgrade license. (can download/upgrade firmware).
there is NO full installer in support.fortinet.com , only tools, no VPN Client.
of cause submit a ticket to support team , they will offer a download link, but it’s un-official website. and costs times.
when asking fortinet, no one will responds directly. what a shame.
I am very sorry that I cant give you an Award right now…
Sitting in the middle of a support phone, and was frantically looking for these links
This morning all our client machines (over 20 of them) were automatically updated to latest version and stuck in loop and asking them reboot their machine.
In one machine, uninstalled and installed new version from online installer. it doesn’t even attempt to initiate a connection. after entering password, it goes to connecting state and then a few seconds later goes back to asking password screen with no error message.
I downloaded and installed it, it immediately connected. to make sure I don’t torture myself next time something like this happens, I put it in one of our internal servers so I can download it from there to all the clients who need it. I also blocked “faulty net” update server so clients do not update automatically to latest version.
Using this was an eternal torture, and become worst, as soon as our current subscription finishes, I’ll suggest a different solution to management to move away from this “faulty” everything! (that’s what everyone started calling this recently in our company)
the licensing part really helped. thx.
it is “online installer”, not full offline installer package.
Ohhh praise be, this shit still works. Got us out of a bind with deploying the online installer as it was taking 20+ minutes to download the image.
