How do you know your vps provider is trustworthy? You’re just moving the trust to a different entity.

I think you’re in agreement… he’s saying it’s important in general, not just for the play store
Fortunately (for themselves), a lot of these shady companies are sitting behind shell companies in tax havens that aren’t compelled to cooperate with law enforcement. As long as the money is coming in, they don’t give a fuck about anything.
Using mullvad on all my devices, super worth the £5 a month
I use Nord and it works good…?
One of my lowest rates vpns for several reasons. They are overpriced, slow, and also the management is not good. They also spend WAY too much money on advertising. The result is overloaded servers, too many customers to too few customer service reps, among other problems. They also have the lowest rating of any VPN on Trustpilot.
Much better than the other 3 that I recently tried, no native split tunneling on android sux, though.
It’s decent but a farcry from 2014-2015 when it was largely the most popular VPN. It hasn’t keep up with emerging trends like streaming compatibility and the management has hired weird people like mark karpeles
No you’re right, that’s what I originally meant. Nine times out of ten, when I try to update stuff in the play store while PIA is running, it just doesn’t work.
And you’re also tying the VPN to your name, unless you can find a VPS that takes anonymous payments but good luck with ping on that
It’s actually less secure, as is evident with that Amazon admin that had access to the virtual servers and copied data.
Their site offers $3/month for 3 years up-front (yes, I know the shady way they market this, but they still do offer it); while many of the sites higher up in the tier (on your site from the other comment) are much more expensive. Genuinely curious (I am in the market for a VPN), why?
Which one is your favorite?
I think it has to do with the location that Play Store is set to. My VPN is reconnected every 5 hours randomly over Europe (just to refresh the connection logs) and the amount of re-capchas and Google warning mails I receive are ridiculous. Except for using F-droid or 4G I haven’t found a solution yet. Maybe another redditor has an idea.
Lol what? Your VPS provider can definitely log all the IPs you visit…
I’ve ranked them at all vpntierlist.com!!
You know nordvpn hq is in different country right? Depending on your need for privacy and security, (laws and all that) this is important. Compare a little better next time
I have a free 50Gb each month for windscribe and it is unusably slow. Would not recommend.
I don’t think so. Marketing-wise this would make no sense because that way I would never buy the paid plan. Pretty sure a free 50Gb per month only makes sense if you get the maximum speed to make me buy the full thing.
I also have Windscribe pro and no speed issues.
