Wifi disconnects as soon as I connect to VPN

I tried to search for this problem before I post but couldn’t find results.

So basically I’m connected to the Wifi, and as soon as I activate the vpn Wifi says connected but no service.

Just pointing out that it never happened before on this specific wifi, and other people *can use vpn on it, so I think it might be a pc problem.

I tried 2 different vpn’s if that matters

Wifi is not going out. Connect to the wifi with your phone and youll see only your computer is affected.

Some VPN clients turn on a firewall when they attempt to connect to their destination server (prevents leaky traffic being discovered by ISP). Its probably failing to reach its server, and therfore never shutting down the firewall. Try connecting to other servers if they are available.

Yep I checked and saw that my phone / other pc’s can connect, and of course, I did tried to log in to different servers, I just don’t know how to technically fix it

If you are the owner of the WiFi/ISP service, you can contact your VPN provider for troubleshooting. If you are using public WiFi or work WiFi, they probably have your VPN’s servers black listed. In which case, there is not really a simple fix beyond trial and error of using lesser known VPNs that have a lesser chance of being in the black list.

You think I might be blacklisted even though I used 2 different VPN providers?

Lets put it this way… If they want to block VPNs, they would simply import a list of IPs containing all known VPN servers into the block list:

Meaning, if you are using VPN services advertised on popular pod casts… Then yeh its probably black listed.

You can confirm by trying the VPNs on your home WiFi. If it works at home, but not on your Public/Work WiFi… It means you are actively being blocked.

Yeah, pretty easy these days to spot and block VPNs with sites like IPQS. However, OP hasn’t answered if they’re on a home WiFi or public connection. The troubleshooting will vary depending on which.
