Hi all, I used a VPN to sign up to youtube premium family for cheap. Worked great. However, I cannot add family members to my google family (to share the account) because it says they are not in the same country as me.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this. I am thinking of cancelling my premium and when I am able to re-buy it then add the family members to my google #first# and signed up to youtube premium family. Does this work?
Also, because i haven’t done this before, I take it there is no downside to adding family to my google account right? these would be my sister and brother who live in a different city to me
I had this happen recently, they have to go to their Google Play profile, using a VPN create a new profile for the country YouTube is in and then delete the other profiles so ultimately they will have 1 pay profile for the same country as your YouTube account. Give it a few mins and they should be able to accept your invite, issue is they lose their local credit card info so they can’t buy apps and any existing subscriptions will be cancelled as they won’t have a payment method in the own country. Also you can only change pay profiles once every 12 months.
This is not ideal, so you need to add them to the family group when you first create an account before you add in payment info and I believe they can join without any trouble, but that means you have to create another YouTube premium account. Or finally the easiest way would be to create them some new YouTube accounts in your region and just let them use the new accounts for YouTube only and they keep their existing accounts for everything else.
Is it just to lose the ads while watching?
If so “Video Lite” works a treat and it’s free. It also works as a private browser. For viewing other apps or whatever. 
What country did you use?
Ah ok it seems in this case not worth it. What I will do is use the same method I have used for my wife and pay for another premium account (so 2 singles rather than the family)
Right now turkey has been working for the past 4 months, auto renews too no issues.
