I’ll highly appreciate your recommendations.
ProtonVPN has been great for me. Was formerly on Mullvad which was also fantastic, they just dropped port-forwarding.
Speed is something you need to test , not all VPN will perform great for you and your country your in.
As in on average , Windscribe , proton , nord , surfshark all should deliver good speeds ( mind you it might be different for your location ! example i heard ssharks USA servers kinda are Overloaded but i heard this about multiple vpn EU wise its fast )
security and privacy
Most of the big vpn will be fine for that.
Pure VPN , HMA , and stuff leaked logs while they claimed none in history.
Anyone using piavpn here? Is it good? I don’t really splurge a lot of money for protonvpn and can afford piavpn.
Check out Njalla. All ports but 25 are usable. No static ip, changes every 24hours. Use a dns service or Dns-o-matic.
Njalla has their servers in Sweden though.
Otherwise I would recommend Proton.
Proton yes. Mullvad if you don’t want port forwarding (it’s important). Probably more.
If you see a good deal on a different one, keep in mind if you’re a small time pirate end-user, you don’t actually need the most secure and private VPN. They stopped the strategy of stealing millions of dollars from old grannies in the 2000s. Now the worst they do is cut off your internet if caught several times.
What’s port-forwarding?
I do and have been for some years now. Back then speed was not that good but lately I’m leaving it on all the time. Also they don’t keep logs according to Russia
Dude I love PIA-VPN… it’s been awesome since I got
It honestly. It’s been the best vpn I’ve used to date.
What do you mean usable?
Kinda feel lucky I’m in the same boat but without having to try several others first
When you do P2P (torrents) directly, you need to open a port on your router so that others can connect to you without you first connecting to them. But when you use a VPN, your VPN provider will need to do this for you on their endpoint.
P2P will still work without port forwarding, but you will probably not be an effective seed, which may cause issues with private trackers.
