Best vpn for starlink?

What’s best vpn for starlink? Will I lose download speed?

I have proton (paid) and love it. Zero issues with high seas and gaming.

Top 3 choices for VPN in no order are mullvad, proton and ipvn

I just renting VPS server in another country for about 4$ per month, set up Ubuntu and OpenVpn on it and im happy to download torrents or reach some blocked sites. Also i can share my config files with family and friends, unlimited) There is many tutorials how to set your vpn on vps. My speeds are about 100mbits on vpn and 200+ without it. Of course im using SL, Germany.

Surfshark using wireguard with killswitch turned on works well for me.

A good discussion in this linked Post. I finally signed up after reading through this.

Mainly got hit with downloading illegal torrent

It depends on what problem you’re trying to solve. If it’s just to allow you access to your Starlink system when you’re away, take a look at tailscale.com it’s not really a VPN but what it does, it does very well

I just use tunsafe with a warp config

Does anyone use TOR with SL?

proton VPN is free, u just have to sign up with email, i have been using it when i was in hotel

I use AirVPN and get great speeds. Used to use Mullvad and it was awesome but I needed port forwarding. I hear Proton and iVPN are also great options.

I use Private Internet Access (PIA). With the subscription, I can connect up to 10 devices. So, my computer, wife’s computer, my tablet, my cell phone, and wife’s cell phone all sit behind the vpn.

Speed loss is to be expected with any of the VPNs… I have Nord

That’s the best approach. Because cgnat, Starlink, dyndns and maybe Unify in a row doesn’t work quite good with these common vpn provider out there. Tried nordvpn, purevpn and another one which I already forgot.

nordvpn doesn’t allow incoming traffic through the tunnel, purevpn doesn’t work together with Unifi Dream Machine.

Maybe it’s different for other countrys. I can only speak for Germany.

using also surfshark and its great, fairly cheap, got 4mos free for $40 a year.

mullvad is the best for that.

If this is your primary/only reason, basically all the paid ones are fine. PIA, surfshark, proton, express, etc. etc. Just find one with a deal and app you like.

Mullvad is excellent, very little loss of speed using Wireguard over Mullvad

Mullvad doesn’t port forward anymore, so they’re the same as everyone else, now. I use PIA

the onion router and starlink
