Hotspot Shield shows up in list of traffic, but no one on network has it installed

EDIT: Turns out that Disney+ is somehow connected to the use of HotspotShield, but I’m not sure I understand why. I determined this by shutting everything off and turning on devices one by one, monitoring the amount of traffic for “Tunneling and proxy services” until I streamed content through the Disney+ app on the TV.

I’m a bit of a rookie with this stuff, but recently I purchased a UDM Pro, EdgerouterX, a NanoHD AP, and one of the Unifi G4 Doorbells, all with the intent of setting up more security at my house. 2 days after installing everything I’m looking at my network traffic and I see around 14 GB of data going through something called “Hotspot Shield”, but neither my wife nor I have ever heard of it.

In my network controller it looks like it’s tied to my Sony Bravia TV which is hard wired into the UDM Pro, but I see a separate category for web streaming.

Does this mean someone is using Hotspot Shield on my network without my permission? If they are, is there an ELI5 way to filter out or block these types of connections?

Someone is running it as a VPN on the network.

Is there any way I can see who it is or prevent them from doing so? I’ve given no one else my WiFi information except devices in the home (Nest devices and a tv).

Yes, look at the logs or go look at computers and devices in the house. Unless you left the network wide open on wifi, it is a closed infrastructure and you would be seeing device or devices on only your network. Just do a search how to do rules.
